Explaining AP.
AP (Ability points) are used as part of using a skill. More powerful skills will also require MP
You can view what a skill needs by viewing the description on the top of the screen.
Sudden Strike is greyed out, you'll need to build your AP using Twin Slash which is your builder attack. Sudden Strike also uses MP as it has a powerful Stun effect. It will 100% Stun on all enemies and cause the highest damage of all your skills.
After the battle has been won you'll receive a share of exp., and also some useful items to craft with. Monsters don't drop any money, human characters will, but very very rarely.
You may find that you need healing items after battling some tougher enemies, let's show you how to be a forest pro through crafting.
